Uganda Trip 2018
In February, I will be boarding a plane to Uganda to visit the Bushfire Community. I feel privileged to able to develop the close relationship between our school and theirs in such a special way. I have been in regular contact with Sam Kitalya (who runs the charity in Uganda). He has asked that I pass on his best wishes and deep gratitude for the money we have raised over this last year. We have more than doubled last year’s fund raising total – This is fantastic and could not have been done without your support. I look forward to talking with Sam and finding out how the money will be used.
In January 2017, Juliet and Charlie from the Bushfire Charity visited the school and received a cheque of £1,224.85. This money has been spent on metal and new mattresses to make beds for the children in Uganda. Currently, not every child has a bed to sleep on and the ones that do are suffering from a severe case of 'bed bugs'. Below are pictures of what the orphanage used to look like, the new mattresses and new beds being made. With every mufti day donation and cake you buy from a class stall you are making such a difference. Thank you for your ongoing support!
