Rainbow Room (SEND)

Rainbow Room
The Rainbow Room is a dedicated, calming space designed to support students with special educational needs (SEN), those on a specific needs pathway, or those who require additional support to access their learning. The room is carefully organised into distinct zones to ensure that each child’s individual needs are met, while fostering independence, self-regulation, and positive behaviour. The space offers areas for both 1:1 support and independent work, as well as ‘hot desk’ stations for children who need time away from their main classroom. Daily routines, such as self-registration and the simple act of removing shoes, help children establish a sense of belonging and personal responsibility. Every session is designed to support the development of each child, with tailored activities and clear expectations.
